The first female African American circuit court judge in St. Louis city, retired Judge Evelyn Baker ’66, will receive Rosati-Kain’s Legacy Award Oct. 19th at the school’s City Lights Gala and Auction. A trailblazer and lifelong public servant, Baker is best known for her efforts to free a juvenile offender she sentenced to life in prison, as well as her subsequent commitment to juvenile justice reform.
